Rumi’s wise words help us to perceive and allow the many mysteries that weave through our lives and connect us to the invisible. One of my own mysteries is this photo of my mother on the “nose art” of a World War II plane … on the back it is clearly labeled “Burgoyne, France, 1944” in her distinctive handwriting … and specifically wrapped with the instructions to open only after her death. The rest of the painting is filled with symbols that point toward understanding the mysteries of life by trusting and listening deeply to our wise hearts.
